APPROVAL/LOCAL LAW/AMEND ARTICLE 12, TITLE 1, SECTION
12.01/PUTNAMCOUNTY CHARTER/ENTITLED “BOARD OF ELECTIONS;
COMMISSIONERS”
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the County of Putnam as follows:
Section 1.
Article 12, Title 1, Section 12.01 of the Putnam County Charter is hereby amended
by adding the following after the existing second sentence:
The certificate of party recommendation requires be Section3-204 of the Election
Law shall be filed with the Clerk of the Legislature at least 30 days but no more
than 60 days before the 1st day of January in any year in which a Commissioner of
Elections must be appointed.
Section 2.
This local law shall take effect forty-five days after its adoption, subject to
referendum on petition in accordance with the provisions of Section 24 of the
NYS Municipal Home Rule Law.
