The County Clerk is the County Registrar and Clerk of the Supreme and County Courts, in addition to other responsibilities.

Office hours are Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. Summer hours (mid-June through mid-September) are 8am to 4pm. His office is where you will find: maps, papers in actions and special proceedings of both civil and criminal courts, judgment and lien dockets, and other books and documents related to these matters.)

Do I need an appointment to visit the Brewster DMV and how can I make the appointment?
Yes. We are open by open by appointment only and for limited in-office transactions at this time.

We also have a drop-box located at the Brewster DMV which should be utilized for any registration renewals, plate surrenders, or transactions that can be completed without the need to come in to the office.

What forms do I need in order to register a vehicle?

In order to register a vehicle, you will need an MV-82, Bill of Sale, Copy of driver’s license, sales tax form (DTF-802), Copy of the insurance card for the vehicle.

What forms do I need in order to renew my drivers license?

If you are renewing your driver’s license and changing to either the REAL ID license or the Enhanced license, you must visit a DMV office and bring a completed MV-44 form as well as all of the proper paperwork with you.

Are Motor Vehicle offices open?

Due to the officesbeing closed due to COVID-19, is my drivers license or registration still valid even though it is expired?
Effective 6/24/2021, all expired documents must be renewed and are no longer considered extended. Please make an appointment at our office to renew the documents that are expired or are expiring.
Is the REAL ID deadline still October of 2020?

Do I need to make an appointment to surrender my license plates?
No. You can utilize the dropbox that is located at our Brewster DMV. Place the license plates being surrendered in the box with your name and address and a $1.00 processing fee.
