DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: Under general supervision, incumbents of this class perform community outreach work for an assigned school district. Incumbents provide information and referral to district students and families about County programs and services available to them. Considerable contact and interaction with school administrators, teachers, school personnel, students and parents are involved, requiring confidentiality and proper handling of confidential materials. Duties require proficiency in both the Spanish and English language, in providing interpretive and information services. Supervision of others is not a requirement of this position. Performs related work as required.

Graduation from high school or possession of a comparable diploma and one (1) year of general work experience involving contact with members of a community.
