Putnam County Clerk Michael C. Bartolotti hosted a Naturalization Ceremony on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Putnam County Historic Courthouse. Clerk Bartolotti administered the Oath of Allegiance to 28 new citizens from 17 countries.

The Honorable Victor Grossman served as the officiating Judge and offered court remarks. American Legion Post 1080 advanced the colors, Arianna Arocho who is a Brewster High School junior sang the Star-Spangled Banner and God Bless America. Father Szymon Kurpios from St. James the Apostle Church led the prayer and Putnam County Historian Jennifer Cassidy did the welcoming remarks. Art Hanley, Deputy Director of the Putnam County Veterans Service Agency led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance. Leon Dener, who is an organ recipient was the guest speaker.
