Putnam County Clerk Michael C. Bartolotti hosted a Naturalization Ceremony on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Putnam County Historic Courthouse. Clerk Bartolotti administered the Oath of Allegiance to 25 new citizens from 19 countries.
The Honorable Joseph J. Spofford, Jr. served as the officiating Judge and offered court remarks. Father Szymon from St. John’s the Evangelist Church led the prayer and Chairman of the Putnam County Legislature, Paul Jonke, did the welcoming remarks. Senator Rob Rolison led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance. Arianna Arocho, who is a Brewster High School Student, sang a rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner and God Bless America and Lauren Shields from LiveOnNY, a double organ recipient, was the guest speaker.
