HEAL 9
The Putnam County Department of Health is
participating in a Hudson Valley Regional Health Assessment.
This project is a seven-county partnership with
Westchester, Dutchess, Rockland, Orange, Sullivan,
Ulster, and Putnam.
By gathering current health care information
from our resi dents,
we can determine local priority health areas.
The seven county health departments have created an
assessment tool that focuses on three broad areas: Access
to Quality Health Care; Maternal, Child and Family Health; and
Chronic Diseases.
Once the priority areas have been identified, strategies to
target these goals will be developed.
This information will also be included in the
Putnam County Community Health Assessment and will be available
to other researchers for further study and grant opportunities.

and Affordability Law (HEAL) for New Yorkers capital grant
